ナショナルジオグラフィックの「悪魔のヤモリ、世界の珍種」という記事で、「悪魔のヤモリ」のことを知りました。

マダガスカル島に生息するエダハヘラオヤモリ（学名：Uroplatus phantasticus）は、マダガスカル東部の固有種で全長10センチほどの小さいヤモリだそうです。

現地では「悪魔の使い」と見なされ、忌み嫌われているそうですが、以下の写真を見るとそれも納得です…
