位置情報サービス「foursquare」（フォースクエア）のチェックイン履歴を、Googleカレンダーに表示させる方法をメモっておくよ。

チェックイン履歴情報を取得

まず最初に自身のチェックイン履歴情報を示すアドレス(URL)を取得します。

自身のチェックイン履歴を示すアドレスは「foursquare :: Feeds」にまとめられています。

この画面の上から3番目にあるアドレス「in ICS: https://feeds.foursquare.com/history/xxx.ics」をコピーしてください。

アドレスのコピーは、リンクを右クリックしてメニューの「アドレス(URL)をコピー」などを選べばできるはずですよ。

チェックイン履歴情報をGoogleカレンダーに取り込む

続いてチェックイン履歴情報を、「Google カレンダー」にインポートします。

まずGoogle カレンダーを開き、左サイドバーにある「他のカレンダー」右横の「▽」を押し、表示されたメニューにある「URLで追加」を選びます。

URL入力画面が表示されるので、先ほどコピーしたfoursquareの履歴アドレス(URL)を貼り付けます。

これで foursquare のチェックイン履歴が、Googleカレンダーに表示されるようになりました！

他のカレンダーサービスでインポート

今回はGoogleカレンダーにインポートする方法を紹介しましたが、世にある普通の「カレンダーサービス」なら、十中八九 .ics のインポートが可能なはずです。

ヘルプの「インポート」あたりを読めば、きっとどこかに「iCalのインポート」的な項目があるはずなので試してみてください。

foursquare(4sq)の店舗・地域の入力・編集方法(Edit Venue)を説明するよ。

foursquareは余り国際化が考慮されておらず、日本での店舗登録はイマイチ感が漂うのが現状です。そんな中で「オレ流スタイルガイド」を提示することで、多少なりとも方向性を作っていけたらなぁと。

本来の「style guide」

まずはfoursquare.comで提示される、本来の「style guide」を日本語訳して提示します。ザックリとした訳なので、間違ってたらゴメンね

• チェーン店では店舗名を加える必要はありません。例えば「スターバックス」や「アップルストア」とするべきで、「スターバックス 銀座松屋通り店」や「アップルストア 銀座店」とは入力しません。
• なるべく略語を使わないで下さい。例えば”Ave”は”Avenue”、”St”は”Street”としてください。
• 交差点での命名規則は、以下に従ってください。
1. メインストリート優先
2. 中心地よりのストリート優先
• 交差点では住所名を繰り返すべきではありません。
• 何か質問がありましたら、GetSatisfactionで自由に質問してください。

で、まぁ本家スタイルガイドはこんな感じなんだけど、どれもこれも日本の地域事情にはあわないのよねー。

日本版、foursquare（4sq）のスタイルガイド

そんなワケで、日本の地域事情にマッチした「オレ流スタイルガイド」を提示したいと思います。

以下に示す文章は、一切を何ら強制するものではありません。入力のヒントぐらいに考えてね。一応、そのうち国際化されることを踏まえて、i18nにコンバートしやすそうなルールにしてあります。

Name

店名を日本語で入力します。無理に英訳せず、漢字・カタカナ・ひらがなで素直に入力しましょう。

例えばマクドナルドは「マクドナルド」です。「McDonald」とは入力しません。また「マクドナルド（McDonald）」は冗長すぎると考えます。常識的に考えて通りの良い名前だけを入力しましょう。

店舗名がアルファベット綴りの時は、素直にアルファベットで入力します。無理にカタカナ化する必要はないと考えます。

スタイルガイドでは店舗名を入れるなと書いてあるけど、日本では店舗名を入れちゃって良いと思う。店舗名がないと、駅前などの密集地域で「今いる店舗」が判別出来ないよね。

駅などではヘボン式ローマ字を並記してあげると、海外の人には親切かも。

半角カタカナは使用しない事。他機種での読み取りや、将来技術的な問題が起きるかも知れません。

Address

町名・番地又は駅名を入力します。例えば「東京都渋谷区渋谷１丁目２－３」は「渋谷1丁目2-3」、または「渋谷1-2-3」と入力します。

「都道府県」や「市町村」は含まないこと。別途入力欄があります。

ビル名やフロア名を入れないこと。別途入力欄があります。

番地にいわゆる「全角」の数値やハイフンを入れないことを推奨します。そのまま地図情報に使っているので、「1-2-3」が良いと思うよ。

Cross Street

ビル名や階数などを入力します。例えば「新宿NSビル２階」は「新宿NSビル 2F」と入力します。

階数には日本語を使用しないこと。またビル名とフロア名の間に空白を入力すること。こうしておけば、将来国際化しやすいと考えます。

City

市区町村を入力します。例えば「新宿区」、「町田市」などと入力します。無理に英語で入力する必要はありません。

State/Country

都道府県名を入力します。例えば「東京都」、「北海道」などど入力します。無理に英語で入力する必要はありません。

Postal Code

7桁の郵便番号を入力します。分らなければ空欄にしましょう。

Phone

電話番号を市外局番から入れます。いわゆる全角文字を使わないこと。

一部国内の電話番号は、桁数不足で入力できないことがあるようです。

Twitter

店舗などでTwitterアドレスがある場合、Twitterアドレスを入力します。

早く日本でもTwitterアドレスを持ったお店が増えて欲しいねー。

Private venueのチェック

Private venueのチェックボックスは「個人的な場所」でチェックするみたいだけど、使った事がないので良く分かりません。

参考情報

同じようなことを考えている人がいたので、参考にさせてもらいました。英文だけど日本国内に住んでる人なのかな？

まだ良く分からないものが多いので、情報をお持ちの方はアドバイス頂けるとありがたいです。新規バッヂの情報もお待ちしています。

「いまここ！」情報をゲーム的に扱うサービス「foursquare」を始めたよ。

foursquareでは、iPhoneなどGPS情報で自分の居場所が分かる携帯端末を使い、「このお店に行ったよ！」なんてのを報告し合うサービスです。

具体的には「いま町田ヨドバシに行るよ！」なんてのを、ネットを使って報告できちゃうわけさな。

もちろんソレだけじゃ詰まらないので、色々とゲーム的な要素が盛り込んであります。

例えば、まだ誰も行ったことがないお店に行けば高得点！とか、あの店の常連はオレだ！みたいなのが表示されるのよ。

しかも、今いる場所をTwitterに投げられるので、「あ、あいつが近くにいる！」なんてのが友人連中に伝わり、タイミングが合えば自然と人が集まってくる、的な要素もあるみたい。

この手の「位置情報サービス」は今年流行りそうな勢いなので、新しもの好きはチェックしておくと良いかも。
